Somerset, Cryderman Style

So it began. The week of unending bliss spent with the most amazing people on the planet. December 26th was the date, the date we anticipated almost as much as Christmas. We were the first ones there. Applewood Lodge. Just sitting there in the snow, empty. Waiting for us to come with our Christmas spirit. And we came.

We came, and we said hello. Hello to all of the things we had missed for a year. Hello Room 2!

Hello lake!

Hello cousins, who slowly began to drift into the lodge, bearing smiles and fun stories from the months past.

And what better place to have your Sweet 16 birthday party than the lodge. Kara, my awesome cousin, turned 16 on December 25th. So, my brilliant cousin Ashlee Cryderman had an idea to throw her a surprise party. And she pulled it off brilliantly.

And so, after that, the lodge had begun.

This year, Beth, Sophie, and I decided to do a salon. In the bathroom of Room 2 was the debut of the most wonderful salon in all of Somerset Beach Campground.

It was wildly popular.

And of course, there's hockey. The warmth decided to stay longer instead of clearing the stage for cold, so we had no ice. But we didn't let that stop us.

Then there's random lodge stuff that is reserved for our family only. Like electrical top tricks.

"You cannot stop Christmas from coming. It came. It came just the same."

Yes it did. Today. We got tons of presents. But who cares. It's not about the presents. It's about Jesus. He was born today. Probably right around this time. And he was born in a stable. You all know the story. It's just that we should think about it more today. Instead of the hustle and bustle of tearing wrapping paper, screaming over amazing presents, we should all sit and think awhile about how Jesus came to die. For us. The sinners.

Last night, at the Christmas Eve service in Portage, my cousin read something very meaningful. Mary's Prayer. It's hyperlinked. Click on it. Read it. Such a beautiful message. Makes you really think. Jesus came. In human form. He was so perfect. So beautiful at birth. Terrible things were going to happen to him. Terrible.

Now, on that note, let's turn to gifts. True, not the meaning of Christmas, but they're fun. I LOVED my gifts.

And Toms. YES!

Christmas was amazing this year. It was in the future, now it's in the past. Christmas just keeps on going and there's nothing we can do to stop it. It'll go, it'll come, for many times in the future. But remember. Jesus is the reason for the season!

Tomorrow

2 days. I am so physically excited I don't think it's possible for me to be anymore excited than I am right now.

I woke up at 8:30 this morning. I never wake up at 8:30. I woke up at 8:30 because Christmas is coming. And it's coming fast. Tomorrow's Christmas Eve. Tomorrow we get to go to Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary's house. We get to listen to Uncle Mark preach. Then we have meatball sandwiches. Then we go home. We set out cookies for Santa and then everyone goes to sleep in my room. Tomorrow.

It's not tomorrow yet. Yet. Let's focus on today. Tonight we get to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We make pretzels. Just like we do every December 23rd. Then we eat.

Right now I'm in my room, packing for the lodge. But I had to take a break. Just to say how excited I am for tomorrow.

Togetherness

Well it's late. We know that much. Sophie is in my room and we are bored. So we're gonna do a joint post. I'm gonna talk for a while, then she is. Just to let you know.

Okay, so this is Crisilee......not a lot to say, just that I'm SUPER SUPER EXCITED FOR THE LODGE!!!!! It's gonnna be awesomee.

School

Ok. It's 6:34 in the morning and I have to go to school in 26 minutes. What to do in that time? Blog, of course.
I really can't stand school. You wake up at a ridiculous time in the morning, go to school for 7 hours every day to learn stuff you'll only forget during summer break. I wish school didn't even exsist. I mean, the ice age people didn't have school, and they survived.
And then when you're in middle school, they ask you what you want to be when you grow up! How in the world are you supposed to know that at 14? What if you make the wrong desicion? It's just confusing.
Anyway, school's even worse 2 days before Christmas break! It's Thursday! We are gonna be wild and restless. Plus, I have an Algebra quiz on Friday. Nobody is gonna be able concentrate in that room. I'm ready for Christmas. Very, very ready.

Christmas is Coming...

Christmas is my very favorite holiday. Why?

There are many reasons.

I love the feeling you get when the first snow comes. You're excited and filled with adrenaline and you just want to get out there and make a snow fort or sled down your neighbor's hill. And when you do, you make snow angels and try to catch the first snowflake on your tongue.

The day after Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days. We get bundled up, grab a saw and go down to get our Christmas tree. We spend a long time deciding which one is the perfect one, but finally we see it and we wonder why we didn't consider this tree in the first place. We snap a couple pictures, chop it down and head home. Then we spend a couple tiring hours unwraveling the lights and stringing them on the tree, but then, it's done. And it's time for the ornaments. We unpack the delicate decorations and hang them on the tree, each kid getting their own turn. When the tree is done, we sit back and stare. The Christmas season has started.

The first day of December. When you flip the page on your calender, something comes over you. It's here. 25 days. Finally. You feel that Christmas is right around the corner. Anything can happen now. It's like Christmas spirit is just whizzing around in the air, just waiting until Christmas so it can explode in to thousands of tiny little Christmas filled fireworks.

Surprises. Every December Mom and Dad have unexpected surprises tucked up their sleeves. An extra movie night, special snacks, and fun extra little surprises for us to get us in the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Eve gets us ecstatic. We get on our dresses, do our hair, and pose in front of the Christmas tree for a family picture. Then we set off to Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary's so we can attend their Christmas Eve service at their church. We listen to Uncle Mark preach and then we head to their house for meatball sandwiches and maybe some hot tubbing. Then we sit in their living room as Uncle Mark reads us a story and we open our Christmas Eve gifts. When it is nearing 10:00, we jump in the van, wave goodbye, and hit the gas to head home. We put on our pajamas and lay out the cookies for Santa. Then we make the beds in my room and get cozy under the covers. We end up staying up till about midnight because we can't sleep.

When Christmas is finally here, Christmas spirit exploded right above our heads. We wake up at 7 and talk excitedly. Mom comes up and brings us cinnamon rolls to eat while they put the final touches on their presents. We jump out of bed and do our hair so we look good for pictures. Then we grab the candy on the steps and Mom takes a picture. Then we step off the steps and gasp. The tree is beautiful. Presents surrounding it, the cookies gone, a note in their place. Our stockings are filled to the brim, things spilling out of them. We read the note from Santa, then go and get our stockings. We take everything out, and then it's time for presents. Christmas lasts till about 1 and we spend the rest of the day playing with our toys or packing for the lodge.

The lodge is another story. We pack and head off to Somerset. Then we unpack and head to Room Two while Mom and Dad head to Room Four. About an hour later, everyone else comes trickling in. We help them with their bags and then we start playing. Beth, Sophie, and I head straight to Room Two and start practicing our talent. For that week, we hang out, play Just Dance, have parties in Room Two, and go ice skating and sledding. We have feasts, talk, and just get filled in on each other's lives. We play board games, make movies, sneak food off to Room Two, and even get in a couple fights. But we make up because we're family.

Now you see why I can't wait for Christmas.

We are in the car!! We just came out of a Meijer, having to go to the bathroom. Now we are all back in the car, Sophie reading, Mylie listening to my shuffle, Darby is coloring, and I am typing. We are going to watch a movie in a half hour. Nothing much is happening right now. TTYL!

Hey there! I’m back! We are in Pennsylvania! We are up high in the hills. My ears are VERY uncomfortable. There are tons of buildings, and the scenery is so pretty. I’ve made loads of videos and I can’t wait till we reach New Jersey. When we go to NJ, our hotel is like 3 miles away from the cake boss shop. We might buy something!! I’m so excited. Right now, we are going to McDonalds to get some coffees. YUM! I’m in the mood for something good. BRB!

Back on the road!! It is 4:56 PM, and we are still traveling. We are still in Pennsylvania; hopefully we will reach NJ soon. I just asked Dad how many miles till New Jersey, and he says he doesn’t know. My ears are plugged. GRRR…. Dad just said maybe another hour or so till NJ. Soph is playing on my iPod, Mylie is singing to herself, and Darby is pretending to be a cheerleader. Hopefully we will stop somewhere to eat soon. I’ve had enough with all these mountains! We are out of them now, but my ear is still plugged. Well, I think it’s still plugged. I’ve been wearing my earbuds ever since we got into the mountains. Well I’ll write again soon!!

7:13 PM. We are officially in NJ!! Pretty sweet! I have no idea when we are going to check into our hotel. Hopefully soon. TTYL!

Volleyball

Lovin' Life

I just wanted to post and say that I am so blessed in life. I have a great family, great friends, and all of the things that I will ever need in life. I love my life and I am so happy to be me.

Just a recent update, we got a new cat!! I was taking horsebackriding lessons and my teacher told me about her kittens and said that they needed a new home! When Mom drove up, I told her and she told us to ask dad. Mylie called him, and he said yes! His name is Mickey. I think he is pretty darn adorable.

Trip to The Sunshine State

Every year, my family goes to Florida in January. Every couple years, we get a bonus trip! This was one of those years.
We did the Disney "give a day-get a day" and we got a free day at one of the Disney parks!
We chose Epcot. We couldn't wait!!
Here we are, all ready to head off to Cadillac, and then we were going to drive to Florida.

Teen Camp at Somerset

Camp was so fun this year. I had a great time. I met new friends, got to hang with my cousin, and hang with my BFF. I had a great time.

After weeks of planning, the day came. The day that the Reeds, the Buchholz's and the DeBackers would take a trip to the Toledo Zoo. We loaded up into the big bus, (loaned for this occasion from the Ganton Retirement Home) and we were off.

Family Camp: Part II

Well, here it is. Family Camp: Part II. It's long overdue, but here it is.

Ok, ya know how I said that we made lots of crazy creations at camp? We finally took it down a notch and made an old fashioned sand castle.

But, I was lying when I said we took it down a notch. We nuclear bombed the city. Beth even made a nuclear power plant!

But, we felt bad and we helped the little people redo their city. Nuclear City: The New Version!

Family Camp: Part 1

Somerset Beach Campground is one of the few places our family gets together. Everyone. Cousins, aunts, uncles, the whole shabang. This year, my family got to camp out there for 3 days. This is the first year we have camped, so we got really excited. The rest of our family always camps, so we couldn't wait to be with our cousins 24/7.

Like I said, being with cousins is probably our favorite part of camp.

Setting up our tent!!!! We were lucky because we got a BEAUTIFUL spot right next to the Kulaga's. We called last minute, so we couldn't believe we got a lot at all!

We made TONS of creations on the beach. Our first major product was a hot tub.

And finally, the day we have all been waiting for, Wednesday, July 14, 2010.............

The Sandcastle Contest!!! Sophie, Beth, and I had been planning what we were going to do the minute school let out. A wedding cake. It was complete with 3 layers, flowers, pearls, white sand, and even people to go on top. It was just going to be us 3, but we decided to let James help because we needed his sculpting skills. About 25 minutes before the contest, Katelyn came up and asked if she could help. We conferred and said no, 4 people was enough. But then we discussed it again, and decided she could help because we needed her special sand glue. But then, Mylie came up and asked. We were getting really fed up with people asking to help. But, by then, who really cared? So Mylie joined the club. After Mylie, it was kind of a free-for-all. So Davis (Sadie's brother) and Aaron came to help. And from what I saw, they did a good job.

Finally, the judges had come to a decision. We were all holding our breath. At least, I was. They announced a sandcastle. And then another. And we were all surprised at what that second sandcastle was. "THE WEDDING CAKE!" We freaked out. Here is the winning castle and it's hardworking bakers.

Weddings and Seniors

A couple weeks ago, this one major popstar was having her wedding. Guess who she picked to be the photographer?? ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaked out. Why me?? I am a amateur photographer, and I am really young. Well, I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity!! The wedding was in Arizona, her home state, so we flew there, and being a popstar, she had a celebrity guest list, right?? I looked over the invite list, and saw major famous people one there. Ashton Kutcher, Jonny Depp, Brenda Song, Emma Roberts, Mia Wasikowaska (from Alice in Wonderland), Ashley Tisdale, and loads others. It was awesome. Of course I brought a notebook for autographs, and I couldn't wait to meet Jonny Depp. The whole family came with me, especially mom, and we were all ready for an awesome day. All in all, it was awesome, especially when Jonny Depp walked in without a shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *faint* Actually, I did faint. Along with a thousand other girls. Here are the photos. Enjoy!

It was a really kewl wedding. SO glad I got to be a part of it.

Also, I got the opportunity to be the photographer for 2 girls senior pictures. I was also really surprised that Spring Arbor picked me!! After all, I am a amateur photographer. They were great girls. Very pretty, and wonderful to work with. I was so glad I got to meet them. I talked to them, and they didn't mind me putting their photos on my blog. So here they are!

MSU Field Trip

Today, my class went to the Michigan State University for a field trip. We had so much fun!!! Here are the pics I took (there are more, but i had to choose my favorites):

Before we went to MSU, we stopped at the museum. Really cool stuff!! I had a ton of fun.

OK, this just grossed me out. Look at the lady's nose ring. It attaches to her head, trails down, goes into her nose, and then out again. I had to get a pic.

We got to go into this display, which was a general store. It was really cool because this guy unlocked it just for us! Here are my friends Brooklynn and Meagan playing old fashioned checkers.

There was this sweet display of butterflies from the smallest to the biggest. The smallest one was the size of a pinhead. Kewl!

After the museum, we headed towards the University and stopped by a statue of "Sparty." I got everyone to smile. It was hard work!!

At the entrance to the University, there was a large statue of Magic Johnson.

We went inside the Breslin Center and our tour guide showed us a sweet trophy case, and inside, along with trophies, were chairs that Tom Izzo, the head basketball coach, sat in, in each of the Final Four games that they had been to. It was pretty sweet!

Then, we got to go inside the stadium!!!! It was awesome.

Next, our tour guide showed us a little room that, when big games happened, all of the team's family and friends got to hang out in and they could watch TV, have refreshments, get to know each other, all sorts of stuff. I only got a pic of the flat screen.

Then we got to walk on the court. The wood wasn't on yet, because, like Auburn Hills, they have celebrities perform here with there stages and stuff. They had just had some-famous-guy-that-i-have-never-heard-of perform there. Sorry, this pic is kinda blurry. Not very good lighting.

This is the "Retired Players Hall of Fame" where all of the State players who have decided to stop playing and come back to watch a game get to sign."

We went into a viewing center and saw a practice gym where a couple girl State players were practicing. Didn't get the chance to snap a pic of the girls.

This is TOM IZZO! He came out of his office (it was a sweet office!! flat screen, couch, all that jazz!!) (i peeked in the windows) and said hi to us. It was awesome!! (and this is coming from a Michigan fan!!)

My friend Jen. She was super hyper!! She had like fifty cups of Coke (non decaffeinated!!) and we gave her coffee, not knowing what it was going to do to her! She was bouncing off the walls!!

And here we are at the Dairy Farm!! It stunk like poo really bad. We were going to go to the planetarium, but it got canceled and we had to come here instead. It was fun though.

I had a sweet time at MSU. Even though I am a Michigan fan, I would come back here any day. I had a lot of fun.

Captain Jack Sparrow will always be in my heart. I am sad that he is gone and I wish he was still here. I love you, Jack!!

He went missing the day we got back from Sugarcreek, Ohio, and the minute we got back and only saw Nala, I knew something was wrong. At first I didn't think anything of it because he wanders around all the time. But after a week, I knew this time, it was serious. I told my mom and she said that it was no biggie, but I knew that it was.
I miss my little kitten, only 2 years old and gone! He will always be in my heart. Take care of my baby, God!!

I remember him climbing up on my bookshelf and climbing into the top shelf of my closet. Those are things that I will always miss about him. I love him so much!! I wish he was with us.

That week was the most blissful week of our entire life. Our first stop was Grandma and Grandpa's. They took us swimming...

Going to see the alligator in the pond....(that was fun!)

Grandma and Grandpa took us out to eat to Plant City. We went to Parksdale Farms and had the best strawberries in the UNIVERSE!

Poor Darby! she was gettting so tired, and I just wanted to get a good picture of her. Well, this will have to do.

After staying with Grandma and Granpa for a couple days, we headed off to Orlando. This year we stayed at the Sharaton-Vistiana Resort. Awesome room, great pools, the DeBackers were in Heaven. Our first night, we traveled onto Disney property to watch our favorite fireworks shows, Wishes, on top of the Contemporary Resort.

Ok, so one morning, I was having some trouble with my gum, so I asked dad to take a picture of it and show it to me. I kept the pic, and, well, see for yourself.

When we got to the parking attendants, they gave dad a ticket for Disney Dream Parking. We got to park litteraly 5 feet away from the entrance. SWEET!

Home Sweet Home

We only got a couple hours at Magic Kingdom, since we spent most of our day at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. At least we would be coming back for breakfast on Thursday!!

After our day was done, we waited in the bus line for Animal Kingdom buses to take us back to our car. 10 minutes.....20 minutes...NO BUSES!!! We waited so long and there were absolutely no Animal Kingdom buses. Dad finally had to ask a bus driver if her would take us to Animal Kingdom. Thankfully, he agreed. No more waiting for the DeBackers!!!

That Thursday, we headed to Magic Kingdom for breakfast with the princesses. Wonderful food, wonderful princesses, and a new addition...Ariel!! She came insted of Jasmine. She was so pretty and her eyes were so blue!! Best time ever!!

Another new addition, the Disney faries! Tinkerbell, Terrance, and Fawn were all there. We got to meet them and they were so cool!!! Terrance made us say "Slap me some dust" to Fawn, and then, "Tag! Your it!" when she gave us a hi five. We chickened out. Sophie finally did it to Tinkerbell. After we left, Iwanted to go back and meet them again. A must do next time you go to Disney.

Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios. Probably one of my favorite rides at that park. So fun!

Back at Magic Kingdom, craving a turkey leg. Thank you daddy!

On our way home, (Michigan sadly, not our awesome condo) we stopped at the best resturant in Georgia. The Varsity! Awesome chili dogs and mini haburgurs. Onion rings are a delicacy. Mmmmmmmmm!

We miss you Florida!!! See you next year!

Christmas and the Lodge

Okay, so I broke my promise. But this isn't TOO far away, right?? Here are a couple pics (well, more than that) of how I spent MY Christmas.

Darby was thrilled with this dress. It has a hoop skirt!! I was very impressed. She looks adorable in it. She loves her boots, too. When she opened the box she screamed so loud and than went to hug my dad. It was so cute!

When Sophie opened her stocking, it was filled with Vasoline, Vix, chapstick , and all that lip stuff. She was very happy because she uses that stuff ALOT!!

I LOVE MY CONVERSE AND SKINNY JEANS!! I had asked for both of these things. (notice i'm still wearing my pj top!)

Darby is really into Scooby-Doo these days, so of course, she was thrilled with getting the Mystery Machine and the characters as her big gift.

Mylie got the American Girl Doll, Julie. She had been asking for her all year, and was ecstatic when she opened her gift. She was shouting all sorts of things like, "I got her! I got her!" and "Let's get her out NOW!"

Of course, the lodge. We couldn't wait for it this year!!!!

Alright. These photos were supposed to be a part of a prank that me and my cousins pulled on my younger cousins. We were going to put these in a slide show that we have and embarrass them. But sadly, that didn't work. So the next best thing is posting them on my blog.

MILEY CYRUS CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I know this is a little late, but here are the pics of the Miley concert we went to. It was super fun!!!!!!!

This pic is of Mason Musso, Mitchell's older brother. This is super ironic because the pic below is of Trace Cyrus, Miley's older brother, and Mason and Trace are best friends! Miley and Mitchell are close friends too!! Isn't that weird?? Well, Trace and his band, Metro Station, opened for Miley, and GUESS WHAT???? Trace took his shirt off!! He had tons of tatoos and piercings. He said that no matter what you look like on the outside, you should pay attention to what's on the inside. He also said that some people told him not to take his shirt off on tour because of his piercings and tatoos. It was funny.

She was singing GNO in this pic. They had caution signs and stuff to worn all the boys not to come here. I thought that was really kewl.

She was singing "I Love Rock n' Roll" here. On the pic above, she was lifted up on a motercycle over the audience. It was so cool!!!

They were only selling 4 tickets per family, so my dad couldn't come. We were really sad. But halfway through the concert, my mom got a call form my dad. He told her that he was in the Palace and there were no ticket takers. So my mom told him where we were and he found us!!! So he stayed through the rest of the concert. It was AWESOME!!!!

Funny story. So we were walking to our van at the evd of the concert, and we see this huge crowd. We wonder if its Miley, so we all rush ahead. Turns out it was Noah Cyrus. We were literally 50 feet away!! I was freaking out!! My mom looked at me and told me to get out my camera. So I pulled it out and took a picture. Since it was dark out, I couldn't see what I was pointing my camera at, and I ended up getting a pic of her dog. As they were walking away, I tried to take another pic, but this time, I didn't have the flash on! So those were the pics I ended up with. Ah, well.

Here are a couple videos from the concert. My favorite video is the third one. I won't tell you why, because I want to to see it for yourself.

The concert was so fun!! I wish I could do it again.

I had such a fun time. That kitty shirt that you saw, well, I spotted that in Cadilacc in a cute store called the Clothesline. I kept asking my mom for it, but she said no. And how awesome is my grandma?? She knew I wanted it and went back and bought it for me!!! You rule grandma!!!

Ok, so I know it's been a long time, but I have had a very busy month and haven't had enough time to post.

This year on my 12th birthday, my parents took me to Claires to....GET MY EARS PIERCED!!!! I was so excited! It was Wednesday, a day before my birthday and my friend Tori was coming over. Here is how my parents surprised me:

Mom: I hope you girls don't mind, but I have to run a couple errands at the mall.

Tori and Me: Ok.

(driving to mall) (arrive at mall)

Dad: Hi girls!

Tori: Fancy seeing you here Mr. DeBacker!

Me: Yah! What are you doing here?

Dad: Oh nothing.

(walking around) (stop at claires)

Me: Ooh! Claire's!

Mom: I was kidding. I don't have to run any errands at all. We are here to get your ears pierced!

Me: (face gets red) Woah.

I was so excited!! I couldn't wait. I was a little nervous at first, but the fact that my BFFEAEAEAI* and my family was there, then that made me calm down a bit. I am so happy that I got my ears pierced!

My ears look great. and I am so happy that I got my ears pierced for my 12th birthday!

Baby Bunny

Okay, so this morning, I was lying in bed, when Mylie ran up to my room and was screaming her head off. Mylie wanted me to come downstairs, so I did, and mom told me to go outside and look behind the rollerblades. I did and there was a baby bunny!!! There was a large pool of blood behind it and it was shaking. I yelled for someone to go get me some gloves and a cardboard box, and Sophie did. I picked up the bunny and put it in the cardboard box with some towels and some clovers. My mom got me some A&D ointment and some cotton balls to put on it's wounds. After I did that, we put the cardboard box in the garage, kicked the cats out, and closed the garage door. I kept checking on it repeatedly and wanted to move it to my room. Finally, we moved the open cardboard box to the woods just in case he was feeling better and wanted to leave.

But then we decided that it wasn't safe in our woods because Nala or Captain Jack could find him and finish it off. So Mylie and I walked down to Grandma's and set him down behind the shed. He hopped a couple feet and then stopped. Then Mylie and I prayed and thanked God for helping us heal this wonderful creature. We opened our eys and the bunny perked up his ears and disappeared into the bushes.

Stories like this always make me think how wonderful God is to have created these creatures out of thin air and how he will always care for them. Thanks again God!!

No More Summer.

I can't believe that summer's almost over and that we are starting school in a week!! I am so nervous because I am starting a new school and there will be lots of people that I won't know!! I probably wouldn't even know where my classes were if it weren't for orientation, which, by the way, is today. I know it's just orientation, but still, I'm nervous!! Lot's of people that I know say that sixth grade is really fun. I believe them, but still, I'm really scared. I have been praying that sixth grade won't be too scary. I think God will answer my prayers. I am going to really miss summer.

Weird Dream

Okay, so I don't know why I'm posting about my dream, but I'm going to.

This is my dream:
So my parents took us to a Jonas Brother concert. It was outside and there was no security. We were behind a bunch of really tall people. We were whining that we couldn't see so my mom's friend took us up to the balcony where we could see them very well. Sophie was leaning over the balcony a bit too much and she fell and landed on the JoBro's piano. Joe started walking over to her and he put his arm around her shoulders. Then they started swaying to the music. I started crying and told my mom, "Sophie get's to do all the fun stuff!!" Joe evidently heard me so he ran up the stairs to the balcony and hugged me. I looked at him and he morphed into Michael Jackson. He looked so weird and ugly!!
Then I woke up.

So you see, that is a very weird dream. I hope you enjoyed it!!

Jack is Back!

Well, sort of. My mom said that if we can keep an eye on him, we can let Jack in for a couple minutes each day. Plus, he sleeps on my bed at night and wakes me up in the morning. When we let him in today, he ran straight up to my room and fell asleep on my bed. He has been asleep since. I am so happy! I love my cat.

Camp

Last Thursday, I got back from Somerset Beach Campground. I stayed there for 5 days. It was so much fun!! My counsoler was Michelle Sutton. She was AWESOME. Her boyfriend bought us all hot pink bandanas. The girls in my cabin, Michelle (i know. michelle and michelle. that got confusing.), Elise, Tori, Jamie, and Abbi, were all great, except for Abbi. She almost got sent home because she was being so disrespectful!! Other than that, camp was SO fun. We played tons of games:

Wizards and Gelflings
Dragon Tail Tag
Granny's Candy

I think classes were the best though. I took Horsemanship. We got to groom the horses and we went on a trail ride. It was fun. On the last day, we all learned to trot. It was bumpy but fun!!!

Camp was so awesome!!! I can't wait for Family Camp. Somerset RULES!

Sad Day

Today was the saddest day of my life.
Today my cat peed on our carpet.
Today Captain Jack Sparrow became an outdoor cat. I was begging and pleading to my mom to not kick him out. But she said no. So today, at 2:00pm, Jack was thrown out of the house. I was bawling my eyes out. I was so afraid that he would run away. But he didn't. When we let him out, Jack chased around our other cat, Nala, and then curled up by a tree in our neighbors woods. I miss him so much!!! Even though he is just outside, I miss him terribly. I absolutely,postitively, LOVE my cat.

Last night, I got to watch TWILIGHT!!!! I was so surprised!! It was such a good movie!! It was a little gruesome, though. I would watch it again in a second. I really want to read the rest of the series, but I can't.

The book was way better than the movie, but still, Edward was soooooo cute!! I think Alice was my favorite out of the Cullen family. She was really kewl.

James just creeped me out. The way he cocked his head and stared at Bella, it was just weird. And Victoria, well, she was just plain strange.

Like I said, I would watch it again in a second. Twilight is such an awesome movie!!

I Got TP'd!!

Last night, my sister had a girl's night with her friends, and I got to go to the Rose Pagent with my friend Tori. While I was away, Sophie and her friends didn't know what to do. Then, Sophie's friend came up with a really good idea. "Let's TP your sisters room!!" Sophie thought that was genius. So they all grabbed rolls of toliet paper and TP'd my room.

When I came home from the pagent, Mom told me to go up to my room and put on my pajamas. I noticed that there was a piece of toilet paper stuck in my door. I opened my door and saw:

Sophie and her friends had sprayed my least favorite perfume all over my room, and I was not happy about that at all!! Thankfully, we got all of the toilet paper cleaned up, so my room is back to normal. Someday, I just know I'll get Sophie back!

WOW!!! Today we had a snow day. I can't believe it!! It's APRIL, and we're having snow days!! Unbelievable!! Not that I'm mad that we had a snow day, I'm just shocked! A snow day in April! *sigh* What is this world coming to??!!

Kewl Basketball Dude

A couple weeks ago, I went to my basketball awards ceremony. This Christian dude, Bruce Crevier, and his family came to show us kewl tricks they could do with basketballs. Bruce and his family rode on HUGE unicycles, balanced like a bajillion balls on their bodies, and taught us more about Christ. I loved it.

Plus, my dad got called up to try catching a basketball a very hard way. I can't really explain it though. But, if my dad cought the ball, he would win either a basketball or a T-Shirt. Guess what?!! HE WON!! He picked out a basketball and we had Bruce Crevier sign it.

For the grand finally, Bruce balanced 11 basketballs on his body. He set the world record for 21 basketballs, but he only brought 11.

Bruce Crevier is a really kewl dude. He taught me a lot more about Christ, and I'm glad he did.

Spelling Bee

March 17, 2009, I participated in the countywide Jackson Citizen Patriot Spelling Bee. I was so nervous. When I walked onto the stage, my heart was beating so fast and hard. I was so scared and I felt like I was going to puke. (thankfully i didn't!) My first word was "Ramen." I walked up to the microphone and shakily spelled the word. I spelled it right!! I was so happy with myself. My second word was "Pyre." I knew that there was no way that I could spell that word. I got it wrong, which stunk. But I was glad that I got a chance to participate in the Spelling Bee.

Girl's Night!

Yesterday at 6:00, my friends, Tori and Jamie, got to come over. They don't spend the night, but they stay till 10:00 and we do everything that we do at a sleepover.

First, we played Rockband 2 on the Wii

Then we went in the hot tub and acted silly.

After that, we snuggled down under the electric blanket and watched "The Spongebob Movie" while drinking Ores and Reeses shakes.

I had ALOT of fun. And I'm sure my friends did too.

Saturday, February 21, 2009. Two words. WII PARTY!!! I was soooooo excited! Because at exactly 4:30 my cousins and family would come over to my house and all we would do is play Wii. When they finally came, I was about to explode from all the excitement.
My Uncle Billy wasn't too thrilled to play Mario Kart, but we forced him to. He played it ONE HANDED!! Inpressive!!

Sleepover

Last Friday at 3:30 pm, I was so excited to get let out of school. Because after school Sophie, Mylie, and I all got to go over to my grandma's house with my cousin Beth for a Hannah Montana birthday sleepover. First, we met Beth at my grandma's house. We had dinner and she opened her presents. Then we went over to my house and watched Madagascar on the big screen. We also got in the hot tub, even though it was freezing cold outside. After that, we went back to my grandma's house and played around. Then, we had cake and ice cream. Finally, Grandma said it was time for bed. So we all got in bed and turned on the TV until 10:00.

In the morning, we woke each other up by hitting them with pillows. Then we watched Madagascar 2. After that, we ran down to the basement and played around until Beth's mom came to get her. We had a whole lot of fun.

The Lodge: Part Two

We had an awesome time at the lodge!!! I miss it so much. Each year our whole family goes and spends 4 days at the lodge at Somerset Beach Campground. My cousins Beth, James, Aaron, Katelyn, and my sisters and I, always sleep in Room 2. Each year on the last night, we have some sort of a party. This year we had a dance party and watched "Another Cinderella Story'' starring Selena Gomez. It was AWESOME!! I totally reccomend it. Anyway, we made videos and played games, and tons of other fun things. I LOVE the lodge!!!

Yeah. We had an awesome time. I can't wait for next year. Happy New Year everyone!! And stay safe! The roads are very icy.

Those are just some of the many things that I got for Christmas. I wish Christmas was every day, not just Dec. 25.

Mylie and I each got a Nintendo DS this year, (sophie had got hers last year) so after openening all the presents, we all plopped ourselved down on the couch and started playing them. Sophie got the Star Wars DS game she had been begging for, and Mylie got the game, Mario Party, to go along with her DS. I got 2 games. My Sims Kingdom, and Battleship, Sorry, Trouble, and Connect Four, all in one game. It totally rocked!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

2 More Days!!

Eeek! I am so excited for Christmas! I can't believe that it's only 2 days away!!!! I have some awesome presents for my sisters, parents, and cousins. I am super excited for X-Mas Eve too! Each year, my family goes over to my Aunt and Uncle's house, and we open 1 present before Christmas. It is really cool. And my uncle is a pastor, so of course we go to their Christmas Eve service. It is really fun to do and I'm excited to do it this year. Anyway, over the weekend, my family went up to Frankenmuth with my grandparents and cousins on my Dad's side. We all had a seperate cabin, and we visited each other daily. On the second day that we were there, we all went over to my granparents cabin and opened tons of presents. I really enjoyed it.

As you can see, we all look very happy. Sophie was ecstatic about her brand new 'Tommy Hilfiger' hat. Later that day, we went to the Crossroads Village and walked around there. We saw a magic show, looked in shops, and best of all, we met Mr. Santa Claus himself.

After Crossroads Village, we went to Zehnders, the best Frankenmuth resteraunt EVER!! And a Merry Christmas to Carson, the new Bettis family member.

Anyway, 2 MORE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! Hope you have a good one.

WHOOPIE!!! Thanksgiving is almost here!! I am so excited! This year, my family is going to go my my dad's parent's house for Thanksgiving. 5th Grade Camp

5th grade camp was so fun!! I just got back yesterday, and already I miss it!! The counselors were so funny and sweet. There was Ezra, Kelsy, Kate, Josh, Carla, and Justin. Some of the High School counselors were John, Lucky, Drew, Stacy, Morgan, Carra, and a lot others. John looked exactly like Nick Jonas, and a lot of girls were getting his autograph. I was one of them. The autograph is hanging on my bulletin board right now!! Anyway, I really miss camp. These are some of my favorite things that we did there.

I got the kewlest presents for my birthday!!! A Harry Potter 20 Questions, a Harry Potter journal, some video tapes, and best of all, A PURPLE IPOD SHUFFLE!!!! Oh my word!!! My parents are the best!! I already have more than 150 somgs on it!!! My grandparents got me a scrapbook and a polar bear webkinz. They are so awesome! My birthday was probably the best birthday ever!!!

Today was my birthday!! (well not exactly, more like my school birthday.Tomorrow is my real birthday) I got to bring a special snack to class. Mom made 'Scotcheroos' They are really good!! Everybody loved them and wanted the recipe. My friend Abby and I passed them out. There were a couple extras, so I brought them home. Also, I got to bring my turtle, Max to school! I found him on the road yesterday. He is a baby snapper.

Camping With Grandma and Grandpa Andrix!

On Saturday I got to go camping with my Grandma and Grandpa Andrix. It was so fun!!Sophie, Mylie and I were the only ones. Sweet, right?? We watched about a billion movies. Little Rascals, A Bugs Life, and Ice Age. Even though it rained the whole time, we had so much fun. We splashshed in the puddles, which were ankle deep, found a toad, and walked on the trails. We also played our own version of Poker, and Uno. It was very fun. When we were playing Uno, Sophie,Grandma, and I had something we call a 'Laughing Fest' It was hilarious!! We were laughing so hard that I felt sick. It was awesome. Grandma let Sophie and I cook too. We made this concoction called 'Dog Barf' I don't need to explain. And then we made something called 'Cream Cheeze Cheesecake' It was sooooOoo good!! Anyway, we just got back today. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Today was Gear-Up Sunday at the Spring Arbor church. There were free snowcones, popcorn, inflatebles, and best of all, JERRY JACOBY!! He is so cool! He tells the funniest jokes and sings the best songs! My favorite song that he sung was, 'Take Me Higher' (i think that's what it's called). "Every time I go higher, I see clearer, I see farther. So take me Lord always....." You get the idea. Anyway, the think I liked most was when Jerry called up Pastor Mark, Pastor Rod, and Lloyd Ganton up to be the Beetles. It was hilarious!! They actually sung a song that the Beetles wrote! I am very glad Jerry Jacoby came to Gear-Up Sunday.

This is my kitten Captain Jack. I got him for Christmas as my BIG present. I was so surprised!! Each night he curls up on the end of my bed or sits on my windowsill. I love watching him because it makes me think how blessed I am to have him. I am so glad God created animals. Especially kittens.
