Family Camp: Part 1

Somerset Beach Campground is one of the few places our family gets together. Everyone. Cousins, aunts, uncles, the whole shabang. This year, my family got to camp out there for 3 days. This is the first year we have camped, so we got really excited. The rest of our family always camps, so we couldn't wait to be with our cousins 24/7.

Like I said, being with cousins is probably our favorite part of camp.

Setting up our tent!!!! We were lucky because we got a BEAUTIFUL spot right next to the Kulaga's. We called last minute, so we couldn't believe we got a lot at all!

The finished product!

There was so much to do at Somerset. There always is! Biking,

swimming,

and taking the usual bathroom break.

On the beach at last!

We made TONS of creations on the beach. Our first major product was a hot tub.

My TV, I proudly made it all by myself, with maybe a little help from Sophie.

This is all my mom did. Tan and read.

Another of our many creations, a cupcake. Chocolate of course!!

Bon appetite!

When we finished "eating" the cupcake, we turned it into a salt shaker! And everyone knows salt is nothing without pepper....

And finally, the day we have all been waiting for, Wednesday, July 14, 2010.............

The Sandcastle Contest!!! Sophie, Beth, and I had been planning what we were going to do the minute school let out. A wedding cake. It was complete with 3 layers, flowers, pearls, white sand, and even people to go on top. It was just going to be us 3, but we decided to let James help because we needed his sculpting skills. About 25 minutes before the contest, Katelyn came up and asked if she could help. We conferred and said no, 4 people was enough. But then we discussed it again, and decided she could help because we needed her special sand glue. But then, Mylie came up and asked. We were getting really fed up with people asking to help. But, by then, who really cared? So Mylie joined the club. After Mylie, it was kind of a free-for-all. So Davis (Sadie's brother) and Aaron came to help. And from what I saw, they did a good job.

James making his "side pastries."

Adding the third layer.

The decorations,

and other minor details.

Finally, the finished product and the hard working team.

Mylie and Katelyn kind of ditched us to help poor Darby. Mylie was in tears because she wanted Darby's sand castle to turn out good. What a sweet sister!

Finally, the judges had come to a decision. We were all holding our breath. At least, I was. They announced a sandcastle. And then another. And we were all surprised at what that second sandcastle was. "THE WEDDING CAKE!" We freaked out. Here is the winning castle and it's hardworking bakers.

Family Camp rules. Stay tuned for Family Camp: Part 2!!!!

Weddings and Seniors

A couple weeks ago, this one major popstar was having her wedding. Guess who she picked to be the photographer?? ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaked out. Why me?? I am a amateur photographer, and I am really young. Well, I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity!! The wedding was in Arizona, her home state, so we flew there, and being a popstar, she had a celebrity guest list, right?? I looked over the invite list, and saw major famous people one there. Ashton Kutcher, Jonny Depp, Brenda Song, Emma Roberts, Mia Wasikowaska (from Alice in Wonderland), Ashley Tisdale, and loads others. It was awesome. Of course I brought a notebook for autographs, and I couldn't wait to meet Jonny Depp. The whole family came with me, especially mom, and we were all ready for an awesome day. All in all, it was awesome, especially when Jonny Depp walked in without a shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *faint* Actually, I did faint. Along with a thousand other girls. Here are the photos. Enjoy!

The flower girl: (shirly temple)

The priest, groom, and flower girl:

The brides parents:

The best man and maid of honor:

A bridesmaid:

Another bridesmaid:

Another bridesmaid:

And finally, (stand up everyone!) the bride and her daddy:

*smooch* *smooch* Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

After the wedding, I grabbed all the famous people and lined them up for photos. I told them it was for the wedding album, but really, it was for me. Ha ha! Aren't I awful?

Here's Jonny Depp and his wife............................................................................Excuse me, I fainted again.

Emma Roberts and Ashley Tisdale:

Brenda Song and Ashton Kutcher:

I found out that Disney made a real life version of The Little Mermaid, so the actors of Eric and Ariel came, too:

Mia Wasikowska and Will Ferrel (he was all decked out in his "buddy the elf" costume instead of a suit. It was funny):

Vanessa Hudgens and Hannah Montana (she evidently didn't want to come as Miley!):

Carly Chaikin (Blaze from The Last Song) and the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz:

My personal favorite, the priest:

The bride's father and the flower girl:

The three bridesmaids (Rachel, Samantha, and Jessica):

The cowardly lion from Wizard of Oz, Madison Pettis, and Annie from Little Orphan Annie:

It was a really kewl wedding. SO glad I got to be a part of it.

Also, I got the opportunity to be the photographer for 2 girls senior pictures. I was also really surprised that Spring Arbor picked me!! After all, I am a amateur photographer. They were great girls. Very pretty, and wonderful to work with. I was so glad I got to meet them. I talked to them, and they didn't mind me putting their photos on my blog. So here they are!

I had an awesome week. Weddings, seniors, what's next?? A celebrity's photo shoot?? Ya never know!!
